Installing new kitchen cabinets can be a daunting task, but with the right tools and some basic carpentry skills, it can be done in a weekend. Measure and Plan
The first step in installing new kitchen cabinets is to measure the space where the cabinets will go. Measure the length, width, and height of the area and make note of any obstacles such as pipes or electrical outlets. Use these measurements to choose the right cabinets for your space.

Remove Old Cabinets

Install Lower Cabinets
After the upper cabinets are installed, you can move on to the lower cabinets. Begin by marking a level line on the wall where the top of the cabinets will go. Use a stud finder to locate the studs in the wall and mark their location on the line.
Place the cabinets in position and use shims to level them. Drill pilot holes through the back of the cabinet into the studs and use screws to attach the cabinets to the wall. Repeat this process for each lower cabinet.
Install Toe Kicks and Fillers
Once the cabinets are installed, you can add toe kicks and fillers. Toe kicks are the panels that cover the gap between the bottom of the cabinets and the floor. Fillers are used to fill any gaps between the cabinets and the wall or other cabinets.
Use a saw to cut the toe kicks and fillers to size. Then, attach them to the cabinets using screws or nails.
Install Cabinet Doors and Drawers
The final step in installing new kitchen cabinets is to install the cabinet doors and drawers. Begin by attaching the hinges to the doors. Then, attach the doors to the cabinets using the hinges.
For drawers, attach the slides to the sides of the cabinet and the bottom of the drawer. Then, insert the drawer into the cabinet and test the slides to make sure they are working properly.
Finish Touches
With the cabinets installed, you can add finishing touches to complete your new kitchen. Install hardware such as knobs and handles on the doors and drawers. Add trim to the cabinets for a polished look.
